# The landing page every SaaS affiliate program needs

In short

A SaaS affiliate program page should answer nine questions before a stranger replies. Start with the rate, its length, the cookie window and the payout. Then cover who it suits and how to apply.

An **affiliate program landing page** is the one public page that explains your program to a stranger. Someone you emailed will open it before they reply. It has to answer their questions quickly.

An **affiliate** is someone who recommends your product and earns a **commission**, a cut of each sale they send. A **SaaS** product is software people pay for each month or year.

Our view is that a recruit reads this page the way a buyer reads a pricing page. They look for the rate, the catch and the next step. If the page is thin, many will say nothing and move on. We have no count of how often that happens, so treat it as our advice.

## What should a SaaS affiliate program page answer?

Nine questions cover it. Each one is a section. The order below follows how a person reads.

| # | Section | The question it answers |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Headline and offer | What do I earn, in one line? |
| 2 | Commission and length | How much, and for how long? |
| 3 | Cookie window | What if they buy a week later? |
| 4 | Payout | When and how do I get paid? |
| 5 | Who it suits | Is this for me? |
| 6 | How it works | What are the steps? |
| 7 | Assets | What do I get to promote with? |
| 8 | Rules | What can't I do? |
| 9 | Apply | How do I join, and how fast do you reply? |

A **cookie window** is how many days after a click a sign-up still counts for the affiliate. Our guide to [affiliate marketing for SaaS](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/affiliate-marketing-for-saas) covers the basics. For the numbers behind sections 2 to 4, see [what SaaS programs say they pay](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/saas-affiliate-commission-rates).

## What do four public SaaS program pages show?

We opened four program pages on 28 October 2026 and noted what each one puts on the page. This is a small read, not a study. We chose four well-known programs whose pages loaded. Page layouts change, so check the live page.

| Program | Offer it states | Cookie it states | Payout it states | Apply and reply time it states |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [GetResponse](https://www.getresponse.com/affiliate-program) | 40% for 12 months, rising to 50% and 60% by sales | 90 days | Around the 13th of each month | Review in up to 72 hours |
| [HubSpot](https://www.hubspot.com/partners/affiliates) | 30% recurring for up to one year | 180 days | $10 minimum, by direct deposit or PayPal; timing not stated | Review in 2 to 3 business days |
| [Kinsta](https://kinsta.com/affiliates/) | 10% monthly for life, plus a one-time $50 to $500 bonus | 60 days | Next monthly payout | Decision within 3 business days |
| [Semrush](https://www.semrush.com/lp/affiliate-program/en/) | Up to $450 per sale by product and tier, $10 per free trial (FAQ figure; homepage shows $100 to $300) | 120 days | Locks 27 days after month end, pays 21 days later | Review in about 2 working days or within 4 days (the page gives both, in different answers) |

Three habits show up. All four put the number and the cookie window on the page. All four say how fast they reply. Three state when they pay, and HubSpot and Semrush name the payout methods.

Three choices are worth copying. HubSpot says who the program is not for. Consultants and agencies are sent to its Solutions Partner Program, which saves a wasted application. Kinsta lists its banner sizes. And Semrush says what triggers a commission: a free trial or a first purchase.

## How do you build the page, section by section?

Write each section in plain words. What we would put in each:

1. **Headline and offer.** Lead with the number. "Earn 30% of every payment for 12 months" beats "Join our partner community." Add one line on what your product does.
2. **Commission and length.** State the rate and the end date. State which one you pay, because 12 months and life are very different bills. If you have **tiers**, rates that rise as an affiliate sells more, show them in a small table. The rules for that are in [when to raise a top affiliate's rate](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/affiliate-tiers-raise-top-affiliate-rate).
3. **Cookie window.** Put the days on the page. The four programs above state 60, 90, 120 and 180 days. Our advice is 60 days or more. At the very least, cover your free trial plus a week to decide.
4. **Payout.** Name the day, the minimum and the method. Say when a commission becomes payable, for example after your refund window ends. GetResponse, Kinsta and Semrush each state when they pay. Also say what triggers a commission: a free trial, a first paid month or an annual plan. Semrush pays on both a trial and a first purchase. GetResponse and Kinsta say only that a paying or converting customer counts.
5. **Who it suits.** Name the people you want: reviewers, newsletter writers, YouTube channels. Name who you don't want.
6. **How it works.** Three steps are enough: apply, get your link, earn. The four pages above use two to four.
7. **Assets.** Name what you give in one short list: tracked links, logos, a product description, screenshots. Keep the files behind approval. We counted 358 program pages on Dub's marketplace on 7 September 2026, all kinds of product, SaaS or otherwise. We read each page's blocks for attached files, and only 22 (6.1%) have any. Make a one-page brief if you have nothing yet.
8. **Rules.** Link your full terms. Cover **self-referrals** (buying through your own link), paid ads on your brand name, coupon sites and disclosure. Semrush bans self-referrals in plain words. More on disclosure below.
9. **Apply.** One button, a short form and a reply time you can keep. Our [form question guide](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/affiliate-application-form-questions) lists what to ask.

If your page has no number on it, add the rate and length first. That one change likely answers the first question a recruit has.

## What do the rules have to say about disclosure?

**Disclosure** means telling readers that a link earns the affiliate money. Put a disclosure rule in your terms. Semrush's page tells affiliates to follow FTC guidelines. The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) says an affiliate should disclose the relationship clearly, and that closer to the recommendation is better. It warns that consumers might not understand "affiliate link", so that label alone is risky. It also says advertisers need reasonable programs to train and monitor members of their network. Delegating part of a program to an outside company doesn't relieve you of responsibility ([FTC, Endorsement Guides questions](https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/ftcs-endorsement-guides-what-people-are-asking), read 28 October 2026).

So the page should say how to disclose. Our [disclosure wording examples](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/affiliate-disclosure-examples-for-brands) give lines to copy. This is US guidance, not legal advice.

## What should you leave off the page?

- **Income claims.** Don't promise what an affiliate will earn. Show the rate and let people do the sum.
- **Empty hype.** "Our powerful partner ecosystem" tells a recruit nothing.
- **Hidden terms.** If the catch is on page nine of a PDF, say so on the page.
- **A long form.** Ask for a name, an email and a site. You can ask more after approval.
- **Promises you can't keep.** Don't write "reply in 24 hours" if you check the inbox on Fridays.

Coupon sites can also hijack a program. If you ban them, say so in your rules. Our guide on [stopping coupon sites](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/stop-coupon-sites-affiliate-program) shows how.

## How do you send people to the page?

The page is the second step. The first is an email to someone who already covers your category. Put the link in that email and name the offer in one line, so the page confirms what they read. See [how to find affiliates for your SaaS](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/how-to-find-affiliates-for-saas) to build the list. See [how to land your first 10 affiliates](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/first-10-affiliates-in-14-days) for the first two weeks. If replies are slow, [why nobody joins your program](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/why-nobody-joins-your-affiliate-program) lists the usual causes.

RecruitAffiliates.ai finds the people and sends your first email from your own inbox. You paste your program page link into the draft. AffiliateRail runs the program and the tracking. Payouts go through your own PayPal or Wise.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is an affiliate program landing page?

It is the public page that explains your program: the rate, the length, the cookie window, the payout, the rules and how to apply. It is what a recruit reads before they reply.

### What should a SaaS affiliate landing page include?

The nine sections above. If you can only fix one thing, put the commission rate and its length at the top.

### Do I need a separate page, or can I use my pricing page?

Use a separate page. A recruit wants the rate, the cookie window and the payout. Those don't fit on a pricing page. Link the program page from your site footer so people can find it.

### How long should the page be?

Short enough to read in a minute or two. Put the full terms on a linked page.

### Should I show the commission rate publicly?

Yes, in our view. All four programs we read show their rates. A recruit who can't see the rate has to email you to ask, and we'd expect some won't.
