In short

To find affiliates for a skincare brand, start with the review and roundup pages that rank your rivals, then add beauty blogs and podcasts. Our first search on 6 Shopify skincare brands showed 100.5 people for the typical brand, and 73% were found through a review or roundup page. About 35% had an email found. Public skincare programs state a median base commission of 15%.

To find affiliates for a skincare brand, start with the "best skincare brands" pages that already rank your rivals. Write to the people behind them, then add beauty blogs and podcasts. That is how you fill a skincare affiliate program. An **affiliate** is someone with an audience who sends you buyers and earns a **commission**, a cut of each sale. In our scan of 6 skincare brands, most people shown were behind a review or roundup page.

This guide shows who promotes skincare brands, where to look first, what to offer and how to reach them. The counts come from our own scan, and the full tables are on our [skincare research page](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/research/who-promotes-skincare-brands-2026).

## Who promotes skincare brands?

On 22 October 2026 we ran our software's first search on 6 public Shopify beauty and skincare brands. Three were UK shops and three were US. We typed in two rivals and three topics for each by hand, then ran the normal search.

It showed a median of 100.5 people per brand, with a range of 61 to 141. A **median** is the middle brand when you line the six up from smallest to largest. With six brands, it is the average of the middle two. Here is who they were.

| Type of page | Median per brand | Range | Share of people shown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Review or roundup page | 72.5 | 44 to 124 | 73% |
| Blog-style page | 12 | 4 to 42 | 15% |
| Podcast | 8.5 | 3 to 20 | 10% |
| All people shown | 100.5 | 61 to 141 | 100% |
| With an email found | 34.5 | 21 to 52 | 35% of all shown |

"Email found" means an address was on record for that person. We did not check it. A **roundup** is a page that ranks several brands, such as "best natural skincare brands". Each median is the middle of its own six numbers, so the medians do not add up. The shares do. The search also showed TikTok and Instagram creators and newsletters, but only a few. Together they were about 2% of the people shown ([the full counts](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/research/who-promotes-skincare-brands-2026)).

First-search results for a UK natural skincare brand: 124 people found, including TikTok creators, skincare podcasts and a review site, each with a fit score.

A first search for a beauty and skincare brand, 22 Oct 2026. This is a different, larger brand than the median. Counts were read on 23 Oct and can differ by one or two from the 22 Oct scan. Individual creators' and bloggers' names, handles, sites and email addresses are blurred, and so are rival brand names. Podcast shows and publications are shown.

Some of those people are not promoters. An AI model read the page title and address of 30 random rows from all five categories we scanned. It judged 9 not to be promoters (30%, a likely range of 17% to 48%). The shops were hand-picked and each was searched once, on default settings. Read the medians as rough. A larger setup shows more. On 24 October 2026, on a paid plan with a full setup, 3 Shopify shops showed a median of 693 people each. Most came from YouTube ([the follow-up](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/research/who-promotes-shopify-brands-2026)).

## What types of people promote skincare brands?

Skincare gets covered in five main ways. The first four are the ones the counts show.

1. **Review and roundup sites.** Pages that rank or compare brands, such as "best natural skincare" or "best acne care". They are the biggest group by far.
2. **Beauty blogs.** Writers who cover one concern, such as sensitive skin or tanning. There are fewer of them.
3. **Podcasts.** Hosts who talk about skin, wellness or beauty.
4. **Social creators.** TikTok and Instagram accounts that show products in use.
5. **Video reviewers.** YouTube channels that test products on camera. They were 71% of the people shown in the larger follow-up above.

A "review" label comes from the page, not the publisher. In a hand check across all five categories, about 8 of the 19 "review" rows looked like individual bloggers with one review post. So the 73% means "has a review or roundup page", not "is a review site".

## Where to look first

Follow the counts. Start with the biggest pool, then move down.

1. **List your rivals' roundups.** Search "best [your product type] brands", "[rival] review" and "[rival] alternatives". Open the first two pages of results and write down who made each page.
2. **Note who may already be an affiliate.** Hover over a buy button. A link through a network name, or one that ends in a code, may mean the writer already knows how deals work.
3. **Add ten beauty blogs.** Search the concern your product solves, plus "blog" or "routine".
4. **Add ten beauty podcasts.** Search your category plus "podcast". Check the last few episode titles to see if they cover products like yours.
5. **Add video and social.** Instagram gave 5 people, TikTok 7 and newsletters 3 out of 620 shown. Social is a small pool. Then search YouTube for "[rival] review" and "[rival] vs [rival]".

## What should a skincare affiliate program offer?

Match what public skincare programs state. We read 168 public Shopify affiliate pages on 23 October 2026. The 24 beauty and skincare programs state a median base commission of 15%, and the middle half state 10% to 15%. Other big categories, such as supplements, fashion and home, state 10%. A 10% offer sits at the low end for skincare ([the commission data](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/research/shopify-affiliate-commission-rates-2026)). The base rate is the lowest rate a page promises a new affiliate.

That is from public pages, not from our six scanned brands. Work back from your own margin before you copy it. Our guide on [what commission a Shopify affiliate program should pay](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/what-commission-should-my-shopify-affiliate-program-pay) shows the sum. Add a free sample for reviewers, because a reviewer can't write about a serum they've never used.

## How do you get their email?

Check the contact or about page first. Some writers list an address for brands, and some only offer a form. In our scan, about 1 in 3 people shown had an email found (215 of 620). Plan a contact form or a direct message for the rest.

Doing this by hand is slow. RecruitAffiliates.ai finds the people and shows the page where it found each one. It looks up their email and shows whether each address was checked ([what each result means](https://docs.recruitaffiliates.ai/credits#what-each-result-means)). The scan itself ran no email checks, so none of the 35% was checked.

## What are the common traps?

**Coupon and deal pages.** Some of the pages that rank your rivals list discount codes. They can take credit for sales you'd have made anyway. Our guide on [how to stop coupon sites joining your affiliate program](https://recruitaffiliates.ai/blog/stop-coupon-sites-affiliate-program) explains how to screen them.

**Pages that are not promoters.** In a check across all five categories we scanned, about 30% were not promoters, such as a news site or a health body. Open each page before you write.

**A skincare claim you can't back, and missing disclosure.** Don't ask anyone to say your product treats a condition unless you can prove it. Say you send a free sample and a reviewer mentions it. The US Federal Trade Commission says to "make a disclosure even if you weren't asked to mention that product" ([FTC, Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers](https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/resources/disclosures-101-social-media-influencers), November 2019, checked 26 October 2026). Add a line to your offer asking for it. Check the rules for the places you sell to.

**Comparing UK and US shops.** In our scan the UK brands were smaller than the US ones. Their estimated sales were $25k to $100k a month against $100k to $250k, from a list we did not check. Don't read the gap as a market effect.

## How do you run this on your own brand?
