# How we write, check and correct

This covers our blog, our comparison pages and our guides. We make RecruitAffiliates.ai, so we have a stake in any page that compares tools. Here is how we keep those pages fair.

## Who writes our pages

Posts carry the team byline: the RecruitAffiliates.ai team. We use AI to help research and draft. We check facts against their sources before a page goes live. No company pays us to write about it, to be listed, or to be placed higher.

We don't use affiliate links to other tools. A link to another company goes to its own page, with nothing added to it.

## How we check other tools

- We read each tool's own site: its pricing page, its product pages and its help docs. We note the date we read them.
- We compare each tool on the same points. What does it find? What does its cheapest paid plan cost? Is there a free trial? Who is it for?
- If we've used a tool ourselves, the page says what we did and when. If we haven't, we don't say we have.
- When our own product is on a list, the page says that we make it.
- We state facts and leave the choice to you. We don't run other tools down.

## How we date facts

Prices and plans change, so every fact about another company carries a date.

- Each comparison page says when we checked it, at the top. Its sources are listed at the foot, one link for each fact.
- Our build won't publish a comparison fact that has no source or no date. It flags any fact over 90 days old, and we read those again first.
- A blog post shows the day it was published. Once we have re-read its facts, it also shows "Checked on" with that date. We don't change the date for a typo fix.
- Our own prices and limits come straight from our plans data. So they can't go out of date on one page and not another.

## How we use our scan data

A **scan** is what our product does when you type in a website. It reads public pages, videos and posts, and finds the people who promote brands like that one.

Some pages use figures from our own scans. When they do, they say:

- how many brands we scanned, and what kind (such as "a skincare brand");
- the date of the scans;
- how we counted;
- how many rows we checked by hand, and what we found.

We name a scanned brand only when it is our own, such as AffiliateRail, our sister product. Other brands are named by kind. Example scans built with made-up brands say that they are made up.

**The limits.** A scan sees only public pages. It misses people who promote by email, in private groups, or in a way we can't read. It can also count a site as a promoter when it isn't one. We haven't measured how often that happens, which is why we check rows by hand. Our figures come from a small sample. Treat them as what we found, not as a picture of every brand.

## How we fix mistakes

- Spotted something wrong? Email [support@recruitaffiliates.ai](mailto:support@recruitaffiliates.ai?subject=Correction) with the page and the fix. We reply within one working day.
- If we got it wrong, we fix the page and change its date.
- If the fix changes a price, a number or a verdict, we add a note at the foot of the page. It says what changed and when.
- A company we write about can ask for a fix the same way. Send the page on your own site that shows the right fact.
- Listed on one of our public pages and want to come off? Email the same address. It's done within two working days.
