How to find influencers on TikTok for a Shopify brand

To find influencers on TikTok for your Shopify brand, search your product words next to #gifted and #ad. Read the comments under your rivals' videos. Check who already tags your shop. Save the best ten in a sheet and vet each one. Then email them a free product and a clear offer. TikTok also has a tool for brands called TikTok One, which adds filters.

A creator (what most people call an influencer) is a person who makes videos that people follow. An affiliate is a person who recommends your product and earns a cut of each sale they send. On TikTok, a creator can be both.

Who should you look for on TikTok?

Look for people who already make videos about your kind of product. Their followers are your buyers.

For a small shop, we'd start small. A creator with 5,000 followers who talks about your niche every week is a better first try. A star with two million who has never mentioned it is not. Our guides to nano influencers and micro-influencers explain the size bands and when small beats big.

Three signs of a good fit:

  • They make videos about your product type, not just general life clips.
  • Their comments hold real questions, such as "where is this from?".
  • They post often, so a message sent today has a chance of being seen.

How do you find TikTok influencers by hand?

You can do the first pass for free, using only the TikTok app. Keep a list as you go, and vet each name before you write.

  1. Search your product words. Type what a buyer would say, such as "vitamin C serum" or "linen shorts". Open the User tab to see accounts instead of videos. Statusphere, a vendor of influencer software, says this tab mostly finds creators with the niche in their username (Statusphere, updated 28 August 2024, checked 26 October 2026). It also says you can filter by follower count to reach smaller creators.
  2. Pair your words with #gifted and #ad. The same guide suggests combining product keywords with tags such as #gifted, #ad and #UGC. These tags show creators who already post for brands, so they're used to a collaboration. UGC means user-generated content, which is a video a customer or creator makes about a product.
  3. Read your rivals' videos. Open the most-watched videos from brands like yours. Read the comments, and look at who is tagged and who replies with real opinions. Note each name.
  4. Check your own mentions. Search your brand name, then open your tagged videos and the comments. Check your direct messages too. Statusphere advises combing through mentions, comments and messages for creators who already talk about you. They're your warmest list.
  5. Look at the same person elsewhere. Many creators also run an Instagram page, a blog or a YouTube channel. Our guide to finding YouTube affiliates covers that platform.
  6. Log it. Use one row per creator: name, link, niche, followers, one video you liked and a status. You'll need that "one video you liked" for the email.

This works, but it's slow. You can only see the creators the app shows you, and each profile needs a read. The wider routine for any platform is in our guide to finding affiliates for a Shopify store.

What did our scan find on TikTok?

On 22 October 2026 we ran a first search for 30 public Shopify brands through RecruitAffiliates.ai. We picked the brands by hand, six in each of five categories. The search ran once per brand. The method and every limit are on our scan page.

The product showed 2,924 people across the 30 shops. TikTok gave 49 of them, which is about 1.7%. Here's where they came from:

Category (6 shops each)TikTok people shownShops with at least one
Fashion and apparel385 of 6
Beauty and skincare72 of 6
Fitness and sports21 of 6
Home and garden22 of 6
Health and supplements00 of 6

Source: our first search on 30 public Shopify brands, 22 October 2026 (per-shop counts, no shop named).

One UK fashion brand gave 30 of the 49. The other 29 shops gave 19 TikTok creators between them, and 20 of the 30 shops got none. Two shops gave 36 of the 49. So TikTok was a small part of the picture for most brands, and a big part for one.

What these counts can't tell you:

  • It's one first search per shop, on one date, for 30 shops we chose. We used our own settings, not a tuned setup, and the same six countries for every shop.
  • YouTube wasn't part of it, and Instagram data was thin.
  • An AI model read the title and address of 30 random rows across all the people shown, and opened no pages. Nine weren't promoters. We didn't check the TikTok rows on their own.
  • Of the 10 shops with any TikTok creators, 8 had between 1 and 3. Read the categories as a rough pointer, not a pattern.
  • A later run on 3 of the shops, on a paid plan with a full setup, showed a median of 693 people, mostly from YouTube. So first-search counts aren't a ceiling. See the scan page.
  • This search found no TikTok people for the six supplement shops. A hand search may find some, so do both.
First-search results for a UK natural skincare brand: 124 people found, including TikTok creators, wellness podcasts and a reviewer website, each with a fit score.
One first search for a UK beauty and skincare brand, run 22 Oct 2026. It was one of the better TikTok results in the scan: the tab shows 6 of the 124 people. Counts were read on 23 Oct and can differ by one or two from the 22 Oct record. Most rows show an audience size and a fit score. Individual creators' details are blurred, including the start of each email address.

Here's what the TikTok rows look like. The screenshot shows four of the six. Three had 127.7k, 100.6k and 197.4k followers, and a fourth had 1,643. Most rows show a recent video caption and a fit score. The product scored the small creator lowest of the four, at 42 ("Worth a look"), against 66, 66 and 61 for the larger ones. So size and fit are different things, and we'd vet every name. The image is condensed and restyled: 9 of the 124 rows.

TikTok One, TikTok's own tool for brands

TikTok has a tool for brands called TikTok One. TikTok's own page says: "TikTok One provides everything you need to create successful TikTok projects in one place." It helps advertisers find creators and production agencies. It also helps them make videos and review how ads do (TikTok help page, last updated June 2026, checked 26 October 2026).

For finding people, TikTok's blog says brands can search with advanced filters, highlighted creators or open casting calls. A casting call is a post where you describe a project and creators apply. It also describes an AI search. You type a plain-language brief and get up to 200 creators back (TikTok for Business blog, 13 May 2026, checked 26 October 2026). TikTok's help page on finding creators says the AI search is open to select customers only, so you may not see it (last updated June 2026, checked 26 October 2026).

Try a small filter first. Use your niche and a modest follower range.

Can you use TikTok Shop to find creators?

Only if you sell on TikTok Shop. If you do, TikTok lets a seller invite chosen creators to promote chosen products. TikTok calls this a target collaboration. The seller picks the commission, between 1% and 80% of the order value (TikTok help page, last updated August 2025, checked 26 October 2026).

If your store runs on Shopify alone, that route doesn't apply. The hand-search steps above work without a TikTok Shop.

Vetting a creator before you write

Spend ten minutes per name. Skim ten recent videos. Read the comments too. Real fans write real replies, and we'd treat a page full of one-word comments as a warning sign. Ask for a media kit (a one-page sheet of their audience and past work) or an audience breakdown before you offer anything, so you know where their viewers live. Look for earlier brand posts and see whether they marked them as ads.

Then decide the offer. A free product is a common start, and a link or code with a commission can follow. Our guides on what to offer affiliates and product seeding cover both.

How do you reach a TikTok creator?

Write a short email. Look for an address in the profile. Check the page it links to. A direct message from a stranger can get lost. Name one video you liked, say what you would send and say what happens if they post. Our influencer outreach email template gives you wording to adapt.

Tell them to mark the post as a gift or an ad. The US Federal Trade Commission treats "free or discounted products" as a material connection. That's a link between brand and creator that viewers should know about. It says a video disclosure should be "in the video and not just in the description" (FTC, Disclosures 101 for Social Media Influencers, November 2019, checked 26 October 2026). This isn't legal advice, and rules differ outside the US.

Where RecruitAffiliates.ai fits

RecruitAffiliates.ai finds the people and sends the first email. It doesn't post your product or run your gifts.

You enter your website. It finds the people already covering shops like yours. That includes Instagram and TikTok creators, and also bloggers, reviewers and podcasters. Each one comes with the page that shows it, so you can judge the fit. It looks for each person's email and checks what it finds, so you get a verified email where it can confirm one. AI drafts a personal first email. You approve it, and it sends from your own inbox. Replies land in that inbox.

A campaign is four emails in one thread (how campaigns work). A new mailbox sends up to 5 first emails a day in its first week, building to 30 at most (how sending works).

Launch is $79 a month for one brand, with a 7-day free trial and no card.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find influencers on TikTok?

Search your product words in the User tab with #gifted and #ad. Read the comments under rivals' videos and check who tags your shop. Save the best names in a sheet and vet each one before you offer anything.

Do I need TikTok One to find creators?

No. TikTok One is TikTok's tool for brands and adds filters and an AI search for select customers. You can start with the free hand-search steps and a sheet.

How many followers should a TikTok creator have?

There's no right number, but for a small shop we'd start with a few thousand to a few tens of thousands. They should talk about your niche often. Fit matters more than size.

How do I find a TikTok creator's email?

Look in their profile and on the page their profile links to. If there is no address, a direct message is a second try. RecruitAffiliates.ai looks for each person's email and checks what it finds.

Is TikTok a good place to find creators for my program?

For some brands. In our scan of 30 Shopify brands, TikTok gave 49 of 2,924 people, and 36 of them came from two shops. Pages with a review or roundup (1,877 people) and blog pages (573) gave more in the same search, so try TikTok next to them. See where to find affiliates.
