How to get good affiliates into UpPromote

To get good affiliates into UpPromote, send people to your own registration link. Don't wait for the marketplace to do it. UpPromote's docs say its marketplace listings "have limited affiliates, and it is just one way to find affiliates" (UpPromote docs, checked 23 October 2026). So the work is finding the right people and asking them.

An affiliate is anyone who sends you buyers for a cut of each sale. That cut is the commission. A creator is someone with an audience on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. Blogs, review sites and newsletters can be affiliates too.

Facts about UpPromote below come from its site, docs and Shopify App Store listing. Each has the date we read it. Our guides on the marketplace spam problem, UpPromote alternatives and UpPromote vs GoAffPro go deeper.

How does UpPromote help you find affiliates?

UpPromote lists six ways in its docs (UpPromote docs, checked 23 October 2026):

Way inWhat it isPlan it needs
Registration linkA sign-up page you share anywhereEvery plan
Customer referralInvite buyers to join, for example right after they orderGrowth and above
Refer-a-friendBuyers refer friends and earn a rewardGrowth and above
Multi-level marketingAffiliates recruit other affiliates and earn from their salesProfessional and above
Marketplace listingA directory where affiliates browse brands and applyGrowth and above
Creator DiscoveryA paid search of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube creatorsAdd-on, from $39 a month

The docs call the registration link "the easiest way", and say it "is always free". The paid ways start at $29.99 a month on Growth (UpPromote pricing). Creator Discovery costs $39 a month for 35 profile views per cycle, or $79 for 75 (UpPromote docs).

What does UpPromote say about its marketplace?

UpPromote calls it one way of many, with "limited affiliates". A marketplace shows your offer to people who open it. You must also "review and approve the applicants who best match your goals" (UpPromote docs, checked 23 October 2026).

Some brands report a poor match. One reviewer wrote that the marketplace "sent us nothing but spam and scammer signups" (UpPromote App Store review, 12 April 2026). Another wrote of Creator Discovery "I found very few strong matches for my U.S.-focused affiliate program" (UpPromote App Store review, 14 October 2026). These are two opinions. The listing is rated 4.9 from 3,904 reviews (Shopify App Store). Test it on your own store.

What gets good affiliates to join?

Five steps get you there.

  1. Set up your registration page. Add fields that tell you who is applying, such as a website and a social handle. Mark them required (UpPromote docs, checked 23 October 2026). Add your terms, so people know the rules.
  2. Choose how you approve. By default, new sign-ups sit as pending until you review them. Leave it that way at first (UpPromote docs). Our screening guide covers the settings.
  3. Make a list of who already promotes shops like yours. Search your rivals' names plus "review" or "best". Look for blogs, review sites, newsletters, podcasts, YouTube channels and creators who write about your rivals.
  4. Send each one a short, personal email with your registration link. Say what you sell, what you pay, and why they fit. Our page for Shopify stores shows how RecruitAffiliates.ai works for them.
  5. Read the first ten applications. Note who fits and who doesn't. Tighten the form to match.

A short email could read:

Hi Sam, your guide to the best linen sheets helped us pick our own range. We pay 15% on every sale, and we'll send you a free set. Here is our registration link: [your registration link]. Reply if you have questions.

Let's say you sell linen bedding. A blog called "the best bedding of the year" already sends readers to your rivals. An email to its writer costs little. Send your link, your rate and a free sample. We have no outcome data on this, so treat it as a suggestion.

How does RecruitAffiliates.ai work with UpPromote?

It works alongside UpPromote, with no integration. It does steps 3 and 4 for you. You type your website. It finds websites, blogs, review sites, newsletters, podcasts, YouTube channels, and Instagram and TikTok creators who appear to promote or write about your rivals. It looks for an email address for each person (what each result means) and sends a personal outreach sequence from your inbox. All you do is reply. In our scan, about 3 in 10 of the people it showed had an address on record, and none were checked.

Every email carries your own UpPromote registration link. People join through that link. UpPromote stays your tracker. See our pricing. Launch costs $79 a month, and you can try it free for 7 days with no card.

Here is what we found when we ran the find step on public Shopify brands. We sent no emails, so we have no reply or sign-up rate.

We ran our scanner on 30 public Shopify brands

  • A first search showed a median of about 92 people per brand, from 35 to 188.
  • Of the 2,924 people shown, 1,877 (64%) had a review, roundup or comparison page as their strongest evidence. Another 573 (20%) were blog-style pages.
  • 916 of the 2,924 (31%) had an email address on record. These were found, not checked for delivery in this test, and some are generic addresses such as info@.
  • 14 of the 30 brands run UpPromote and 9 run GoAffPro, going by the list we picked them from. For the 14, the median was 86 people and 27 email addresses per brand. For the 9, it was 93 people and 30 addresses.
  • An AI model read 30 random rows against each page's title and address, without opening the pages. 19 were a clear fit, 2 a loose fit and 9 (30%, a range of about 17% to 48%) were not promoters.
First-search results for a US supplement brand: 188 people found, led by gut-health podcasts and bloggers who review a rival brand.
A first search for a health and supplements brand, 22 Oct 2026. This is the largest result of the 30 (median 92). Individual creators' and bloggers' names, handles, sites and email addresses are blurred, and so are rival brand names. Podcast shows and publications are shown. Counts were read on 23 Oct and differ by one or two from the 22 Oct scan.

This was our scanner's first search on 30 public Shopify brands on 22 October 2026. It stopped at finding addresses and ran no email checks, which the product runs when a campaign starts (how). An AI model read 30 shown rows by title and address, and 9 were not promoters. 14 of the 30 brands run UpPromote, going by our source list, which is not market share. Full method and limits.
