How to get good affiliates into Social Snowball

To get good affiliates into Social Snowball, keep its customer flow on. Then ask the people who already promote shops like yours. A customer-to-affiliate flow gives every new buyer a tracking link or discount code after they buy. It only reaches people who have already bought. So the work left is finding the rest.

An affiliate is anyone who sends you buyers for a cut of each sale. That cut is the commission. A creator is someone with an audience on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. Blogs, review sites, podcasts and newsletters can be affiliates too.

Facts about Social Snowball below come from its site, help center and Shopify App Store listing. Each has the date we read it. Our other guides go deeper, and we link each where it applies.

How does Social Snowball help you find affiliates?

Its own pages describe three ways:

Way inWhat it isWhere it is described
Customers into affiliatesAn affiliate account, with a tracking link or discount code, is made for each new customer after they buyHelp center, checked 23 October 2026
Sign-up formA form you embed on your site for anyone to applyHelp center, checked 23 October 2026
Creator Search and OutreachA search of "2M+ META-verified creators", with email sequences to them. Your brand must first be onboarded to Meta's Creator MarketplaceListed on the Blizzard plan (Shopify App Store). Described in the help center, article dated 3 February 2026, checked 23 October 2026

The first way is the one the company leads with. Its site says "5X referrals by turning customers and fans into affiliates automatically" (Social Snowball, checked 23 October 2026). That is its own claim, and we haven't tested it.

What does Social Snowball cost?

The Shopify App Store listing shows two plans, checked on 23 October 2026 (Shopify App Store):

  • Snow Day is "$249/m + 3% of affiliate revenue". It lists unlimited affiliates, influencer management and post-purchase referrals.
  • Blizzard "starts at $899/m", with a custom plan set up after install. It adds Creator Search and Outreach, social listening and TikTok Shop.

The listing states no free trial. A 2021 help center article mentions a 14-day free trial, so ask before you install (Help center). The listing is rated 4.6 from 211 reviews.

What do brands say about finding people with it?

These are single opinions, chosen to show a range from the reviews page when we read it. One brand wrote of its creator search: "allows us to easily communicate and discover relevant influencers" (Shopify App Store review, 15 June 2026). Another wrote "We do have some trouble finding high quality affiliates" (Shopify App Store review, 30 September 2026). Another wrote "Support was very helpful in resolving the issue and providing a solution" (Shopify App Store review, 27 August 2026). Test it on your own store.

What gets good affiliates to join?

Five steps get you there.

  1. Keep customers-into-affiliates on. Every buyer gets a link without you doing anything more. The listing puts post-purchase referrals on the Snow Day plan.
  2. Put the sign-up form where people look. Add it to your footer, your "Contact" page and your emails.
  3. Make a list of who already promotes shops like yours. Search your rivals' names plus "review" or "best". Look for blogs, review sites, newsletters, podcasts, YouTube channels and creators. Our guide on finding affiliates beyond your customers shows how.
  4. Send each one a short, personal email with your sign-up link. Say what you sell, what you pay, and why they fit.
  5. Read the first ten applications. Note who fits and who doesn't, and tighten the form to match.

A short email could read:

Hi Sam, [one true thing about their page]. We pay 15% on every sale, and we'll send you a free set. Here is our sign-up link: [your sign-up link]. Reply if you have questions.

Let's say you sell linen bedding. A blog called "the best bedding of the year" already sends readers to your rivals. An email to its writer costs little. We have no outcome data on this, so treat it as a suggestion.

How does RecruitAffiliates.ai work with Social Snowball?

It works alongside Social Snowball, with no integration. It does steps 3 and 4 for you. You type your website. It finds sites, blogs, newsletters, podcasts, YouTube channels and creators who appear to promote or write about your rivals. It looks for an email address for each person (what each result means) and sends the outreach from your inbox. You handle the replies. In our scan, about 3 in 10 people shown had an address on record. None were checked.

Every email carries your own Social Snowball sign-up link. People join through that link. Social Snowball stays your tracker. Compare it with others in Social Snowball alternatives and Social Snowball vs UpPromote. See our pricing. Launch costs $79 a month, and you can try it free for 7 days with no card.

Here is what we found when we ran the find step on 30 hand-picked public Shopify brands. We did not record which of them use Social Snowball. We sent no emails, so we have no reply or sign-up rate.
