UpPromote vs GoAffPro: price, approvals and finding affiliates

Both are free to start. The real choice comes when you outgrow the free plan. UpPromote then adds a cut of referral sales. GoAffPro's pricing page lists a flat $49 for Premium and no sales fee. It doesn't say there is none, so confirm that with GoAffPro. Its free Hobby plan leaves out Invite influencers, Dynamic Coupons and Detect Coupon Leaks. Its pricing FAQ lists them as Premium features. We found nothing in either app's docs, read on 23 October 2026, about emailing the sites that promote your rivals.

UpPromote and GoAffPro are affiliate apps on the Shopify App Store. An affiliate is anyone who sends you buyers for a cut of each sale. That cut is the commission.

Every fact comes from each app's own pages, read on 23 October 2026. Links are at the foot of the page.

How much do UpPromote and GoAffPro cost?

UpPromote's Growth plan is $29.99 a month, or $24.99 billed yearly. It adds 2% of successful referral sales. The fee drops to 1.5% on Professional and 1% on Enterprise (UpPromote pricing, checked 23 October 2026). GoAffPro's Premium plan is $49 a month (GoAffPro pricing). The page lists no fee on commissions. It doesn't say there is none either, so check the app before you commit.

Both free plans can carry a small programme. UpPromote's free plan covers reviewing up to $3,000 in referral sales a month (Shopify App Store). GoAffPro's Hobby plan is for stores with fewer than 100 daily orders (GoAffPro pricing). So a small programme can cost nothing on either app.

The two caps count different things: UpPromote's is referral sales, GoAffPro's is store orders. Let's say affiliates bring you $5,000 of sales in a month. On UpPromote Growth, the fee is 2% of $5,000, which is $100, plus $29.99. That's about $130. On GoAffPro Premium it is $49, if GoAffPro charges no sales fee. At $20,000 of affiliate sales, UpPromote Growth would be about $430. Professional would be about $390 ($89.99 plus 1.5%). The gap grows because UpPromote's fee is a percentage and GoAffPro's price is flat. UpPromote's creator search is a $39 add-on on top. Features may also push you to a paid plan sooner, so match plans to what you need.

How does each one handle approvals and spam?

UpPromote holds new sign-ups as pending by default, until you approve them (UpPromote docs, checked 23 October 2026). It also has an Auto-activate setting that approves sign-ups at once. Fraud protection is listed on every plan (UpPromote docs). It can flag repeat sign-ups from one IP address and block emails. It can also catch bots and limit sign-ups to chosen countries (UpPromote docs). Our screening guide walks through each setting.

GoAffPro treats approval as a setting. Its anti-spam guide opens by telling you to switch auto-approval off. Its docs tell brands fighting spam to turn off "Auto approve registrations" under Settings. Then you approve people by hand. They also list extra sign-up fields, geo-blocking and turning off the marketplace listing (GoAffPro docs). So check what yours is set to. For sales it lists Detect Coupon Leaks (a warning when your codes show up on coupon sites), dynamic coupons (codes that refresh), and a block list for IPs and origins (GoAffPro docs). Its pricing page puts "Fraud management tools" on the Business plan. GoAffPro's docs list Dynamic Coupons and Detect Coupon Leaks as Premium features (GoAffPro docs).

One GoAffPro reviewer made a point for both apps: "I also think coupon scraping can happen regardless of which affiliate app you use" (GoAffPro App Store review, 17 September 2026). Coupon scraping is when a site copies a brand's discount codes and shows them to shoppers about to buy.

How do they help you find affiliates?

Both help you be found, and both let you search for people and invite them. In the docs we read on 23 October 2026, neither describes emailing the blogs and sites that promote your rivals (UpPromote docs, GoAffPro docs).

UpPromote lists your offer in its marketplace from Growth, and sells Creator Discovery as an add-on. Creator Discovery costs $39 a month for 35 profile views per cycle. It is $79 for 75 (UpPromote docs, checked 23 October 2026). Its docs say marketplace listings "have limited affiliates, and it is just one way to find affiliates" (UpPromote docs).

GoAffPro's docs describe a marketplace listing that "is displayed to affiliates who are part of our network" (GoAffPro docs). Its Recruit tab lets you search influencers by niche, region and country. Then you send an invitation (GoAffPro docs). Its pricing FAQ lists "Invite influencers" as a Premium feature (GoAffPro docs).

Which one should you pick?

Pick GoAffPro if:

  • You want Premium features, such as Invite influencers and coupon-leak detection, at a flat monthly price.
  • Your affiliate sales are high enough that a percentage fee would cost more.
  • You can confirm GoAffPro's fee terms before you pay.

Pick UpPromote if:

  • You want audience data and authenticity scores in Creator Discovery, then an invite from the same list (UpPromote docs, checked 23 October 2026).
  • You want customer referral and refer-a-friend tools on Growth (UpPromote docs).
  • You want the app with more reviews to read.

Pick either, plus a finding tool, if your programme is live and nobody good joins. Another app won't add affiliates by itself. See UpPromote alternatives for the wider list.

Where does RecruitAffiliates.ai fit?

It fills whichever app you choose. It isn't a third choice beside them. See our pricing and our page for Shopify stores. You type your website. It finds websites, blogs, review sites, newsletters, podcasts, YouTube channels, and Instagram and TikTok creators who promote your rivals. It looks for an email address for each person (what each result means) and sends a personal outreach sequence from your inbox. All you do is reply. Each email carries your own UpPromote or GoAffPro sign-up link. There is no integration with either app. Launch costs $79 a month, and you can try it free for 7 days with no card.

Here is what our scans found when we ran this on public Shopify brands.

We ran this · 22 October 2026

We ran our scanner on 30 public Shopify brands

  • A first search showed a median of about 92 people per brand, from 35 to 188.
  • Of the 2,924 people shown, 1,877 (64%) had a review, roundup or comparison page as their strongest evidence. Another 573 (20%) were blog-style pages.
  • 916 of the 2,924 (31%) had an email address on record. These were found, not checked for delivery in this test, and some are generic addresses such as info@.
  • 14 of the 30 brands run UpPromote and 9 run GoAffPro, going by the list we picked them from. For the 14, the median was 86 people and 27 email addresses per brand. For the 9, it was 93 people and 30 addresses.
  • An AI model read 30 random rows against each page's title and address, without opening the pages. 19 were a clear fit, 2 a loose fit and 9 (30%, a range of about 17% to 48%) were not promoters.
First-search results for a US supplement brand: 188 people found, led by gut-health podcasts and bloggers who review a rival brand.
A first search for a health and supplements brand, 22 Oct 2026. This is the largest result of the 30 (median 92). Individual creators' and bloggers' names, handles, sites and email addresses are blurred, and so are rival brand names. Podcast shows and publications are shown. Counts were read on 23 Oct and differ by one or two from the 22 Oct scan.

This was our scanner's first search on 30 public Shopify brands on 22 October 2026. It stopped at finding addresses and ran no email checks, which the product runs when a campaign starts (how). An AI model read 30 shown rows by title and address, and 9 were not promoters. 14 of the 30 brands run UpPromote, going by our source list, which is not market share. Full method and limits.

Questions people ask

Is UpPromote better than GoAffPro?

Neither is better for every store. Both are free to start. GoAffPro lists a flat price, which would cost less at higher sales. UpPromote has far more reviews.

Is GoAffPro cheaper than UpPromote?

It depends on which plan you compare. Both have free plans. Against UpPromote Growth, GoAffPro Premium is $49 a month, if it charges no sales fee. UpPromote Growth is $29.99 plus 2% of referral sales, so it costs more once sales pass about $950 a month. UpPromote's creator search costs extra.

Does GoAffPro have a marketplace like UpPromote?

Yes. Its docs describe a marketplace listing shown to affiliates in its network.

Can I move from GoAffPro to UpPromote?

Neither app's docs we read cover a move. Our suggestion, which is opinion: set up your programme in UpPromote first. Then send each affiliate their new link and code, and keep GoAffPro running until they've switched.

Which app has fewer fake sign-ups?

We can't say, because we have no data comparing them. Both docs list controls. UpPromote reviewers report junk applicants (UpPromote App Store reviews, 21 June and 14 September 2026; see our screening guide), and a GoAffPro reviewer says coupon scraping happens on any app. Check your approval setting in either app.
