Who promotes beauty and skincare brands: 2026 affiliate data

Who promotes beauty and skincare brands? In a first search, most people shown were found through a review or roundup page (73%, a little above fashion at 72%). Next came a blog-style page (15%) and a podcast (10%). This page gives the counts for six brands, how many have an email found, and what to do first.

An affiliate promotes your product and earns a cut of each sale they send. A roundup is a page that ranks several brands, such as "best natural skincare brands". The median is the middle brand when you line the six up from smallest to largest. "Email found" means an address was on record for that person. We did not check it.

What did the scan find for beauty and skincare brands?

On 22 October 2026 we ran one first search on each of six public Shopify beauty and skincare brands. Three were UK and three were US. The topics we typed included natural skincare and tanning, plus acne care.

Type of pageMedian per brandRangeShare of people shown
Review or roundup page72.544 to 12473%
Blog-style page124 to 4215%
Podcast8.53 to 2010%
TikTok, Instagram or newsletter1.51 to 72%
All people shown100.561 to 141100%
With an email found34.521 to 5235% of all shown

Median and range are per brand. With six brands, the median is the average of the middle two, so it can end in .5. The scan page rounds these to whole numbers. The share column adds each type's people across all six brands. So the shares add up to about 100% after rounding, but the medians do not. A check of 30 random rows from all five categories found 9 that were not promoters (how we counted).

We ran this · 22 October 2026

One UK beauty and skincare brand showed 125 people on its first search.

  • 56 had a review or roundup page, 42 a blog-style page and 20 were podcasts, plus 6 TikTok creators.
  • 43 had an email found.

How we counted: We added the brand to RecruitAffiliates.ai with 2 rivals and 3 topics typed by hand. Then we ran the product's normal first search. The counts are the people it showed after its own filter. The scan stopped at emails found and ran no email checks. Sample: One of six public Shopify beauty and skincare brands, estimated sales of $25k to $50k a month (the list's own estimate). Searched once on 22 October 2026.

Does it differ in the UK and the US?

US$100k to $250k10061 to 10133

The UK median was 125 and the US median was 100. All brands were searched in the same six countries with the same offer, the one we use by default. Size and country move together here, because the UK brands are smaller than the US brands. So don't read the gap as a market effect. The same tables for fashion, fitness, home and garden and health and supplement brands are on their own pages. All five side by side are in how we scanned 30 Shopify brands.

What does this mean for a beauty and skincare brand?

  • Most people shown had a review or roundup page. The median was 72.5 a brand, the most of the five categories. Start by listing the "best" pages that rank your rivals.
  • Your offer needs to match. Public skincare programs state a median base commission of 15%, against 10% in the other big categories. A 10% offer sits at the low end of what they state. The commission figures are just below the steps.
  • Podcasts and blogs are smaller pools. Podcasts were 10% of people shown and blog-style pages 15%. One brand showed 42 blog-style pages. After the roundup writers, try ten beauty podcasts.
  • About 1 in 3 people shown had an email found (35%). Plan a contact form or a direct message for the rest.

What should you do next?

  1. Write down the "best brands" roundups that rank your rivals, such as "best natural skincare" or "best acne care".
  2. Pitch each writer with a sample and a clear offer. Name the product that suits their readers.
  3. List ten beauty blogs and podcasts and offer each a free sample plus a commission.

Then check your margin and set your offer. Public beauty and skincare programs state a median base commission of 15%. The middle half state 10% to 15%. That is from 24 public program pages, not the six brands we scanned. Read what commission Shopify brands pay for the full table. Our page on affiliates for skincare brands covers the basics.

How did we count?

We added each brand to RecruitAffiliates.ai with two rivals and three topics typed by hand. Then we ran the normal first search. The first search reads web pages, podcasts, TikTok and Instagram. The counts are the people it showed after its own filter, and each brand was searched once. An AI model read the title and address of 30 random rows from all five categories, and we opened no pages. 19 were a clear fit and 2 a loose fit. Nine were not promoters (30%, likely range 17% to 48%). A review or roundup label comes from the page, not the publisher, so some are single-post bloggers. Six brands a category is a small, hand-picked sample, so read medians as rough. The full method and limits are in how we scanned 30 Shopify brands. The 2026 data report has the press summary.

Questions people ask

How many people could promote my beauty and skincare brand?

In our sample, a first search showed a median of 100.5 people per brand. The range was 61 to 141. A setup with more rivals and topics shows more. In a follow-up on a paid plan with five rivals and six topics, 3 of the 30 public brands showed a median of 693 people each, and 71% of them came from YouTube. Run it on your own store to see your number.

Where do the email addresses come from?

215 of the 620 people shown had an email found. RecruitAffiliates.ai records the page each address came from. The scan did not check them. RecruitAffiliates.ai checks an address when you look it up. A result only counts if it comes back as a verified email (what each result means).

What commission do beauty and skincare affiliates expect?

Public skincare programs state a median base rate of 15%, and the middle half state 10% to 15%. That is from 24 programs. Work back from your own margin before you copy it.

Should I go after beauty and skincare creators on Instagram?

Not first. Instagram gave 5 of the 620 people shown, TikTok 7 and newsletters 3. Review and roundup pages gave 450. Start with the writers, then test a few creators.

Why did beauty and skincare show more review pages than other categories?

Skincare brands showed a median of 72.5 review or roundup pages, against 47 for fashion and 62 for supplements. Against fashion, skincare simply showed more people overall (100.5, against 78). The share with a review page was close (73% against 72%). Supplements showed more people (126). They spread them across blogs and podcasts, so only 55% had a review page.
